Last updated: 31 October 2026. English draft for a free demo operated from Quebec, Canada.
Who we are
TrendForge AI (“the service”) is operated from Quebec, Canada by [legal entity name — owner to confirm] (“we”, “us”). The person in charge of the protection of personal information under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (often called Law 25) is [name, title, and contact email — owner to confirm].
This policy explains what we collect when you use the free English demo at trendforgehq.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What this demo collects
- Google account profile, if you choose to sign in: the account subject identifier, email address, name, and profile picture that Google returns. We use these to create your account and keep your reports separate from other people’s.
- Session cookie. After Google sign-in, the server sets an httpOnly cookie named
tf_session. The cookie holds a random session token. It is not readable by page scripts. We use it to recognize your browser. It is not an advertising cookie. - Product data you create: keywords you analyze, saved reports, watchlist items, alert preferences, and monthly usage counts.
- Technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, kept so we can operate and secure the service.
The current launch does not take payment. We do not collect card numbers. If paid plans are offered later, a payment processor such as Stripe would receive billing details under its own policy, and this page would be updated first.
Why we use personal information
- To create and secure your account after you sign in with Google.
- To store and show the reports and watchlists that belong to you.
- To send optional email alerts if you turn them on and email delivery is configured.
- To keep the service reliable, investigate abuse, and understand aggregate usage.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Signing in is optional for browsing public pages such as the sample report, pricing, this policy, and the terms.
Where information may be processed
The application is intended to run on a server chosen by the operator. Google handles sign-in, and Google’s systems may process your account profile outside Quebec, including in the United States. Trend data may be requested from public or third-party sources (for example news feeds, Wikipedia, or YouTube) using the keywords you submit. Those providers see the request, not your TrendForge password — there is no separate TrendForge password.
[Describe hosting location, subprocessors, and any transfer assessment required by Law 25 — owner to confirm.]
How long we keep it
Account profile data, reports, and the session record are kept while your account is active. Session tokens expire after 14 days of issuance, or sooner if you sign out. You may ask us to delete your account and the reports tied to it. [State the exact retention period and backup window — owner to confirm.]
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including Quebec’s private-sector privacy statute, you may ask to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent to optional processing, such as email alerts;
- ask about the information we hold and how it is used.
To make a request, contact [privacy contact email — owner to confirm]. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Cookies
The session cookie is strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies in this demo. Your browser’s local storage may remember display preferences such as the plan label shown in the interface. That storage is not the credential used to access another person’s data.
Children
The service is meant for adults making business decisions. It is not directed at children under 14.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and, where Law 25 requires it, seek fresh consent. Continued use of the demo after the updated date means you have seen the new policy.
